WHAT IS THE CURRENCY IN MOROCCO?
The local currency is the Morrocan Dirham (MAD). The fluctuating exchange rate is approximately 10 MAD for 1€.
WHERE CAN I CHANGE MONEY?
It is possible to exchange your currency at exchange offices in the airport or banks in the city. However, it is recommended to compare exchange rates to get the best possible rate.
It is important to note that some credit cards may be accepted at certain businesses throughout Morocco, but it is always advisable to have enough cash on hand in case of need.
In Imsouane most of the shops only accept cash payment and there is no ATM in village, the nearest is located in Tamanar, 30 km away.
Finally, it is wise to keep a copy of your identification documents and not carry large amounts of cash for security reasons.
